Angry Birds

You must help them escape by completing curtain challenges. The first levels are all about helping fellow birds escape by their cages. Once accomplished (30 levels) the game tells you that you managed to escaped and are now flying in the forest of Brazil, where you'll stumble upon evil monkeys (yay!).

Gameplay

As I said before the basic gameplay mechanic remains unchanged. Largely the same birds are at your disposal and are introduced to the player once more. I like to give them nicknames, like the red one I call "mr average" because they can't do much. And I think the yellow birds are Italian because they're passionate and fast. Anyway the new levels are fun but also rather easy. I'm an addict angry bird player and blasted through the levels in 2 hours tops.

Angry Birds Rio currently offers 60 levels in over 2 "scenes", with 4 more scenes promised over the year. They are currently not available though, which annoys me a lot. Basically the developers said: yeah we aren't done yet but you can buy it now and upgrade later. I hope this beta testing attitude doesn't become the trend in mobile gaming. Buyers now have to wait till May to access the 3rd world, that's two months from now! And the final level actually won't be open till November.

Presentation

The new storyboard style is fun and adds some depth to the game. Now it actually makes sense to be in a forest and hitting random monkeys. (yeah...)

Also improved are the visuals. The backgrounds seem more dynamic and sharper looking. Paired with the fantastic new animations, Angry Birds Rio is a real looker in mobile gaming.

Conclusion


The computer game was originally created for the Apple iOS platform, but has Since been recently enhanced for compatibility with a large amount of some other touchscreen display smartphones. Computer and gaming console friendly variants of Angry Birds have become accessible, as well. Angry Birds is being touted as the most addicting video game available on the market - mainly because of its clever, amusing style and engaging computer animation, and also the proven fact that it merely costs about a buck to down load, perhaps $3 for the high-def version.

The basic idea for Angry Birds is kind of straightforward. This is a puzzle-solving computer game, and the purpose is to ruin a bunch of wrong-doing pigs by catapulting Birds at them with a slingshot. Succeed in eliminating all the pigs before exhausting your bird supply, and you'll move forward to the next stage. Sound funny? It truly is - that is why it's flying-off virtual racks with a present count of about one hundred mil down loads.

The objective gets a tad bit more loony too: as lead game-player, you're in charge of a flock of crazy looking Birds, each some other coloring, on a hunt for gold eggs that have been stolen and concealed by the bad swine. Dependent upon its coloring, each bird possesses a super power. For instance, blue Birds can divide themselves into a few Birds at once, yellow-colored Birds have bionic long distance, black Birds are self-combusting, and green Birds can boomerang by themselves.

Since its release, a second edition has been produced: " Angry Birds: Rio ", together with many holiday versions.
